ALP for AAC

ALP (Assessment of Learning Process) for AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)

In partnership with two speech-language pathologists (SLPs) the original ALP tool (Assessment of Learning Powered mobility use), version 2.0 was adapted for application in the field of AAC and learning how to use various equipment for AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). Our purpose was to develop a reliable assessment tool applicable for clinicians who work in the field of access methods for AAC.

Our collaboration was initiated at the ACRM conference in Chicago 2016. and the two SLPs live and work in the U.S. Both have long experience in the AAC field and has developed an extensive network of clinicians. Sarah Wilds is affiliated to Prentke Romish Company (PRC) – Saltillo and Chip Clarke is a consultant at PRC – Saltillo.

At this point of the adaptation we share the handouts provided at conferences and workshops involving presentation of the ALP for AAC
